1. Who We Are

MUR Nutrition ("we", "our", "us") operates the MUR Nutrition mobile application. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. If you have questions or concerns about this policy, please contact us at support@murnutrition.com.

2. What Information We Collect

• Account information: your name and email address, collected when you register.
• Body & health stats: weight, height, age, gender, and body measurements you enter.
• Nutrition data: food photos you take, barcode scans, and meal logs.
• Fitness data: workout exercises, sets, reps, weights, and exercise history.
• Goal data: calorie targets, macro targets, goal type, and progress records.
• Device information: device model and OS version, used only for crash diagnostics.

3. How We Collect It

All data is provided directly by you when you: complete the onboarding quiz, take or upload food photos, log meals or workouts, record body measurements, or update your profile. We do not collect data in the background and we do not use advertising identifiers (IDFA).

4. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and manage your account.
• To calculate personalized calorie, macro, and nutrition targets.
• To generate AI-powered nutrition and fitness recommendations.
• To display your progress charts and trends over time.
• To power the AI food scanner (image analysis).
• To send optional push notifications (meal reminders, workout reminders) if you grant permission.
• To process subscription payments securely through Stripe.

5. Third-Party Services

To provide AI-powered features, your body stats, fitness goals, meal logs, and food photos are sent to OpenAI and Google for processing. This data is used solely to generate your personalized results and is never used for advertising or sold to third parties. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Account screen (Account → Delete Account). Upon deletion, all your nutrition logs, workout history, body measurements, goals, and subscription records are permanently erased.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is only shared with the AI service providers described in Section 5 to deliver app features, and with Stripe for payment processing.

8. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

MUR Nutrition does not track you across other apps or websites and does not use your device's Advertising Identifier (IDFA). We do not engage in cross-app tracking. You will not be shown an ATT permission prompt because we have no tracking to request permission for.

9. Children's Privacy

MUR Nutrition is rated 17+ and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, please contact us immediately at support@murnutrition.com and we will delete it.

10. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit and secure authentication tokens. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Your Rights

• Access: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: you may update your name and profile information at any time in-app.
• Deletion: you may delete your account and all data in-app (Account → Delete Account).
• Data export: you may export all your nutrition, workout, and measurement data as CSV from the Account screen.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date below and, where appropriate, by sending an in-app notification.
